HMA CREATIVE CONSULTING
Selected Work.
Communications, digital systems, writing, community strategy, and event experiences built to help people understand what matters and know what to do next.
THE WORK
Some things begin with a website. Others begin with a knot.
These projects do not all look alike because the problems behind them do not all look alike.
Sometimes the work is writing. Sometimes it is reorganizing a digital system. Sometimes it means helping several groups work together, or making a large public event easier to understand and navigate.
The common thread is taking something complicated and making it usable for actual humans.

The River Community Church
Multi-Campus Website + Digital Ministry Ecosystem
The River needed one clear digital home for two physical campuses, while connecting its public-facing website to the Planning Center and Church Center tools people use throughout church life.
The project included multi-campus information architecture, visitor pathways, content strategy, first-visit information, events, groups, registrations, directory access, app integration, and ongoing digital communication.

Kelly Bangs
Writing in Someone Else's Voice
Writing for another person means doing more than producing clean copy. It requires listening closely enough to understand how that person thinks, speaks, connects with an audience, and tells a story.
This work demonstrates editorial judgment, voice development, long-form storytelling, audience awareness, and the ability to create content that feels authentic to someone else's platform rather than sounding like it came from an outside writer.

Week of Hope
Community Partnership + Engagement Strategy
Week of Hope brings together people, organizations, volunteers, service projects, communication, and neighborhood relationships around a shared purpose.
The work is not one deliverable. It is the coordination underneath the experience: helping partners understand the vision, helping volunteers know where they belong, communicating clearly, and creating enough structure for meaningful work to happen together.

Community Car Show
Event Communications + Experience Design
A large public event succeeds long before the first car pulls in. People have to discover it, understand what is happening, know where to go, and feel confident enough to participate.
This project focuses on the communication and experience around the event: promotion, public information, registration and signups, signage, volunteer coordination, day-of communication, and making a busy community gathering feel understandable instead of chaotic.

The deliverable changes. The work underneath it doesn't.
Notice
What is confusing? What keeps getting lost? Where are people getting stuck?
Untangle
Separate the actual problem from the clutter, assumptions, workarounds, and noise around it.
Build
Create something clear enough to use, flexible enough to live, and human enough to matter.
HAVE SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T FIT NEATLY IN A BOX?
Good.
Tell me what you're trying to build, change, communicate, or figure out. We can start with the tangled part.
